Delete your Beef account and data

You can delete your Beef account at any time. This page is for people who want to delete their account without installing or reinstalling the app — it satisfies Google Play's Data Deletion policy.

What gets deleted

When you submit a deletion request, we remove:

• Your profile (first name, account ID)
• Every dispute you created or participated in (positions, verdicts, roasts)
• Your head-to-head win/loss record against every opponent
• Your push notification token (if any)
• Your authentication record (email, last sign-in)

This is permanent. It cannot be undone. If other users were in disputes with you, their copy of those disputes is also removed — we don't partially delete a two-person record.

What does NOT get deleted

• Anonymous server logs (IP, timestamps, error traces) kept for up to 30 days for security purposes. These are not linked to your identity after your account is removed.
• Aggregated, de-identified usage counts (e.g., "X disputes were resolved this week") — no personal data.

How to request deletion

Option 1: From within the app (fastest)

Open Beef → Settings → Delete my account. Confirm. Done within seconds.

Option 2: By email (if you don't have the app)

Send an email to captaincolinr@gmail.com with:

• Subject: Delete my Beef account
• Body: the email address you used to sign up

We'll verify the email, delete your data, and reply confirming within 7 days.

Data retention

All data is removed within 7 days of the request. Backups containing your data are overwritten within an additional 30 days.
